Traveling: Félix González-Torres was the first major museum exhibition of the artist's work and was jointly organized by MOCA; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.; and The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago. MOCA's presentation of the installation was curated by Ann Goldstein as part of the museum's Focus Series and titled Traveling. The exhibition included installations, stack pieces, and a billboard displayed at the museum as well as twenty other locations throughout Los Angeles. The show traveled to the Hirshhorn Museum and The Renaissance Society, where it was installed and titled differently each time. [moca.org]
